| Protecting the environment at Glacier Bay Certainly at Glacier Bay, internationally recognized as a World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve, preserving this premier natural wilderness area is particularly important. Approximately 300,000 visitors tour Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve each year. ARAMARK and the National Park Service have made environmental education and awareness for our visitors a priority. Some areas may be closed or restricted because of bears, nesting bird colonies, feeding humpback whales or other wildlife activity.
