National Park Service Programs

The National Park Service at Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve offers an array of special programs for its visitors and caters to a wide range of travelers.

  • 1:30 pm (Daily) - Forest Loop Trail Guided Walk, National Park Rangers conduct daily 1 ½ hour guided walks along the Forest Loop Trail. This walk departs from the lobby of Glacier Bay Lodge.

Visitor Center Films

The National Park Service shows several films daily in the Visitor Center auditorium, located on the second floor of Glacier Bay Lodge..

  • 12:00 pm (Daily) - "Glacier Bay: Forever Wild" - Learn about Glacier Bay's cultural and natural history.
  • 4:30 pm (Daily) - "Glacier Bay: Beneath the Reflections" - This award-winning film takes viewers into the underwater world of Glacier Bay to meet some of the creatures that call this park home.

Tribal House

  • 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm (Monday - Saturday) - Huna Tribal House, located along the shoreline trail just past the Glacier Bay Lodge. Stop by and discover the beauty and significance of Xunna Shuka Hit. 
  • 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm & 4:00 pm (Monday - Saturday) - Tribal House Revealed, join a cultural interpreter at the Tribal House to learn about the deep significance of Xunna Shuka Hit and how this collaborative project came to be. 15 minutes. 
  • 7:00 pm (Mondays & Wednesdays) - Special Connections at the Tribal House, join a cultural specialist and experience Glacier Bay through a new perspective. Evening activity/presentation. 45 minutes. 

Park Ranger Programs

  • 7:00 pm (Daily) - Discover the many wonders of Glacier Bay. Join a ranger for a fun and informative slide program. Held in the Visitor Center Theater. Topics vary nightly. 45 minutes.
